Cheerios "How It Works!" spot

This was a spot I worked on almost three years ago to-the-day of this posting for Pat-Man Studio. I believe it aired a handful of times as a 30-second cut-down version. This is the longer 60 second version.

I handled animation with another animator named Mike Luzzi, some storyboard revision, and edit. This was done in Flash and After Effects. The designs were a throwback to the 50's Cheerios Kid complete with the off-register line work, and was pretty fun to work with.

Kyle's Animator Pencil

I had a few min to doodle up some sketches with Kyle's new Animator Pencil that he released yesterday. I was pretty stoked about it. One of its features is that you can tilt the stylus to simulate some shading techniques like one could with a real pencil. This feature didn't seem to work as well as I had hoped. The tilt range was minimal and the surface area of the brush did not really increase that much. I also felt as if I needed to press pretty hard on the tablet to get it to shade as much as I needed it to. Still, the Animator Pencil gives a nice and fluid line for fast sketching. It might be my new go-to brush for drawing in Photoshop. Head on over to Kyle's Gumroad page and give the guy a few bucks for it. Its worth it!

Office Boss #2

Another miserable, poorly dressed office boss. Probably been doing his job for way too long, and wants to quit but can't because he has no retirement plan.

An oldie

I think I once wrote on here that I have a bunch of PSD's sitting on my Desktop in a folder that are all half-baked. I hope to sift through them and finish some of them off. This is one of them.
